Räpina Paper Factory

7.08.14
The red brick main building of the Räpina Paper Factory brings to mind the paper makers of the past with their almost 300 years of experience shaping the admirable history of the modern enterprise.
Modern techniques and strict quality requirements have significantly changed paper production. The philosophy of the Räpina Paper Factory, however, lasts for ages – the material that finishes its life circle is recovered as a raw material. In the ancient times, rags were used, while nowadays it is exclusively scrap paper.
As the Räpina Paper Factory is the oldest operating industrial enterprise in Estonia, the history of paper production is introduced to more and more people interested in it.
